Using the Ordering System
Our SECURE on-line ordering system is easy to use!
When you've found an item you wish to purchase, simply indicate the quantity of
that item that you want, and select the "Add to Shopping Cart" button. You
can use the "View Shopping Cart" button, which is located at the top
of the left side of your screen, to see what is in your cart and modify
your order at any time.
When you've added your last item, you can check out from the shopping cart window by choosing either "Checkout (Non-Secure)" or "Checkout(Secure)". If you will be paying with a credit card through PayPal, you should use the "Checkout (Secure)". If you will be paying with a money order or a check, you can use either the "Checkout (Non-Secure)" or the "Checkout (Secure)" button to complete your order.
All prices shown are in U.S. dollars, and you can contact us for price quotes in other currencies. Sales Tax (7.75%) will be added to your order if the shipping address is within the state of California.
Telephone Orders
If you are unable to use our online ordering
system for some reason, we will also accept telephone orders at any time.
However, email is our preferred method of communication due to the differences in timezones and ability to respond at any time of the day. To place a telephone order, please call us at (760) 738-9093. Please remember that we
are in the Pacific time zone, and are not likely to be in the office before 9
AM. If we are unavailable, PLEASE leave a message giving us your
name, email address, and phone number and a detailed message about what item(s) you're
interested in purchasing, and we'll call you back or send an email response as soon as possible.
Packaging
Our goal is for every order to arrive in
pristine condition, so we place a great deal of importance on how we package
your order. All
of our inventory items are stored in a clean smoke-free
environment. Every order is packaged in a sturdy box with packing peanuts,
air pockets, bubble wrap, or tissue paper for padding material, depending on the size of the box and the
weight of the items. Here are more specific details about the typical
packaging for each of our products. Coin Packaging:
Coins that do not come in a presentation case are typically packaged in
plastic bubble coin holders or self-sealing coin holders, which protects the coins during
shipment. These coin holders keep moisture, dust and fingerprints off the
coins. Doll Packaging: Each doll is usually wrapped in
plastic to keep out dust and protect the packaging from scratches, then it
is wrapped in bubble wrap for extra protection. Soft Item Packaging
(including Toys, Bean Bag Collectibles, Blankets, Quilts, & Clothing)
: Each item is sealed in a plastic bag for protection during
shipment. The tags for all Ty collectibles are protected with tag
protectors.
Gift Wrap
Service
We offer a gift wrap service for Birthdays
and for the Christmas season.
The charge for each gift-wrapped item is $5.00, and a small gift card tag will be provided for each gift. We will send you an updated order confirmation email message showing the gift wrap charges after we have processed your order. For each recipient, please enter the following information in the Comments section when you are entering your order. (If there is not enough room in the Comments section, you can send a separate email message to the email address sales@maddys-treasure.com with the rest of the Gift Recipient information.)
The Recipient's Name. For example "To: Nick"
A Brief Message from You. For example "Happy Birthday!" or "Merry Christmas!"
Your Salutation. For example "From: Maddy"
Shipping and Handling
Please note that the shipping
time estimate given on the order form does not include Order Processing Time,
which may add several days to the total time before you receive your order.
If you need to receive your order by a certain date, please specify the "Date
Needed By" information in the Comments section of the order form. If for
some reason we are unable to fulfill your specified date requirement, we will
send an email message to inform you of the situation.
Inside the USA
Shipping and handling charges are based on the total weight of the items you've
selected for purchase, which gives you the best deal! The shipping and
handling charges shown cover shipment to anywhere in the Continental United
States. Shipment to Alaska, Hawaii, or any international destination may
have higher shipping and handling costs than shown. Although you select a
shipping method at the time of your order, we reserve the right to upgrade to a
faster shipping method at no additional charge to you. If you wish to have your order shipped through some
method other than those listed, you should make a note in the Comments section on the Order Form. If
we cannot accommodate your request for some reason, we will promptly send an
email message with an alternative shipping suggestion.
International
For shipment outside the continental United
States, please contact us for the correct shipping
and handling charges. We
typically ship Airmail packages through the United States Postal Service using
the Airmail Letter Post or Global Priority Mail services, depending on the size
of the package.
We are not responsible for any customs fees, duties, or tariffs. Please check for local import laws prior to purchasing from us. On the Customs Form, we always declare the contents of the package as "Merchandise", because it is illegal for us to declare the contents of the package as a "Gift" when it is actually merchandise that you purchased.
Please be aware that most international Airmail packages take approximately 7-10 days for shipment. However, many packages (up to 50 percent) are held in Customs in the destination country for anywhere from several days to a few weeks. Please allow at least 2 to 4 weeks for delivery of any order from the time we indicate that the order has shipped.
Payment Terms
We accept these forms of payment:

PayPal Payment Transfer System. You can pay using any major credit card through PayPal, and PayPal also allows you to pay using electronic checking from your checking account. If you select the PayPal payment option, you will automatically be taken to PayPal's system to complete your payment during our checkout process. It is easy and free to sign up to use PayPal, if you don't already have an account on PayPal. If you pay by PayPal, we will ship your merchandise after your payment has cleared.2) Money Order or Certified Check payable to "Maddy's Treasure Chest". If you pay by money order or certified check, we'll ship your merchandise when we receive the payment.
3) Personal Check payable to "Maddy's Treasure Chest". If you pay by personal check, we reserve the right to hold the order until your check clears (usually 3 to 5 days, but it can take up to 10 days). In the unlikely event that your check fails to clear, we will be forced to impose an additional $25 fee.
If we do not receive your payment within 10 days of order placement, we will automatically cancel the order without notice and return the inventory to stock. We are not able to offer a layaway plan.
Order Processing
Once you've submitted your order, you'll receive an email
confirming the order. Please verify your
order information and inform us immediately if there are any errors. If the order
information is correct, there is nothing more you need to do, and we will ship your
merchandise promptly upon authorization of your credit card.
If you are paying with a check or money order, simply print a copy of the order confirmation and mail it, along with your check or money order, to:

We process orders in the order that they were received. Stocking Policy
We
update our web pages frequently to ensure that they reflect the current state of
our inventory in stock, and we promptly remove an item from the web page when it
is out of stock. If an item is shown on our web page, that item should be
in our inventory and ready to ship. On rare occasions, we may run out of
an item before we can update our web site, in which case we will send an email
advising you of the situation and whether or not that item is available on a
back-order basis along with an updated price for the back-ordered item, if
applicable. In this event, you have the option of continuing with the
order, or canceling all or part of your order. In all other cases, item
quantities are limited to stock on hand. Please note:
We are not responsible for inadvertent errors in our
web pages and shopping cart system. Should we discover an error in pricing
for your order, we will alert you via email with the correct pricing.
Customer
Privacy Policy
Your personal information is safe with us. We only use this information to
process your order. We
never give out customer names or information to any other sources -- all of
your information is treated as confidential. You may notice that we do not
offer a "one-click" shopping experience. This is by choice, as we believe
strongly that your personal information should not be stored indefinitely on
Internet servers. Even though all our order information is well-protected
by encryption and multiple firewalls and passwords, we do not believe that your
personal information should remain on an Internet server longer than is
necessary to process your order.
We have been asked, on occasion, to send out an email when we get new products in that may be of interest to specific customers. Although we do not currently send out these types of emails, should we begin this practice in the future, we would only send email messages to our customers who have purchased similar products in the past. As an example, we might wish to send an email message update when we receive a new shipment of cat coins to all of our customers who had previously purchased cat coins. If you do not wish to receive any email message product updates from us in the future, you can indicate this in the "Comments" section of the order form or in any email correspondence with us.
Return Policy
Finally, if you decide that you need to return an item, please
request an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number. You can request an
RMA number by sending email to us at
sales@maddys-treasure.com or by calling us at (760) 738-9093. In order
to issue an RMA number, we will need to know the condition of the item and your
reason for returning the item. If the item is unopened and
all the original packaging is pristine, you may return any item within 7 days of receipt
of the item by you for a full refund of the price you paid (less shipping and handling for
that item) and any applicable sales taxes. Acceptance of the return of items with
missing or damaged packaging is at the discretion of Maddy's Treasure Chest, and will be
subject to a 15% restocking fee. Refunds for items purchased by credit card will be
credited to the credit card charged for the original sale.
