The Turkish Cat.
Well mannered, affectionate and intelligent, the Turkish Cat is now widely bred
throughout the world and includes among its varieties the White, Black, and Blue Smoke
Angoras. In warm weather, the Turkish cat will shed its magnificent silky coat and
take on the appearance of a short-haired feline. The 1995 Cat coin beautifully
captures the fine distinctive features of the breed for all time. The 1995 coin is the eighth of the Cat series, and it has a beautiful Turkish Cat on the back and a picture of Queen Elizabeth II on the front. This coin is CuNi (Cupro Nickel) in a Brilliant Uncirculated minting. The contrast in the photo at left was enhanced to show the striking coin detail. |
