| Isle of Man - 2007 Ragdoll Cat Coin | |
|
|
The
Ragdoll Cat. This coin is
the 20th of the series, and it features a beautiful Ragdoll Cat and her 2
Kittens on the front of the coin, and a
picture of Queen Elizabeth II on the other side of the coin.
The Ragdoll Cat has a gentle, loving nature and a muscular build. All Ragdolls have color points, so their face, ears, legs and tail are darker in color than the rest of their body. The kittens are completely white or cream at birth, and the points begin to develop a few days after birth. When mature at approximately 3 years old, Ragdoll Cats have a thick, silky coat which is semi-longhaired. Ragdolls are famous for their relaxed nature, and they are docile and trusting and crave human company. This coin is CuNi (Cupro Nickel) in a Brilliant Uncirculated minting. |

The 2007 Ragdoll Cat coin is also available in a "Colorized" version. The colorization process is done by the mint that makes the coin, and the colorization process consists of painting an enamel finish over the raised areas of the coin to illustrate the details in color. The colorized details of the Ragdoll Cat and Kittens are painted to show multi-colored fur accents on each cat, resulting in an absolutely beautiful keepsake coin! This coin is made of CuNi (Copper-Nickel) in a Brilliant Uncirculated minting, which shows amazingly fine detail on the finish of the coin. It is a large coin -- approximately 38.6 mm in diameter, which is slightly larger than the size of a United States Eisenhower dollar. The coin comes encased in plastic inside a lovely color presentation card, decorated with pictures of adorable cats on the front and back of the presentation card. |
